This was the very first assignment and project we did with photoshop. I never had any experience with photoshop so this was very new to me. I had trouble at the beginning of the project with the stamp tool because I kept selecting the spot healing tool. This caused me to make more hair when I wanted less and less hair when I wanted more. I had to learn different layers to cover up words on the board as well as make text on the picture. With layers I had a hard time bringing things forward and putting things behind. For example some layers on this picture are the text, "SURF'S UP!!" and the solar light behind her head. Something I had immediate success with was the gradient. When using the gradient tool I figured out that I could put them in certain spots and change the color of the gradient tool. This made it easier to bring up the blue hues of the water and maintain a faded vintage look to the picture. I am overall pleased with how this project turned out. One of my favorite parts about this project is messing up but then figuring out how to fix it. The photoshop experience to me was trial and error but I didn't seem to get discouraged.
